Hosanna Community celebrated its 10th Anniversary Saturday, June 3rd at Faith House. The day included a tour of the facilities, the opportunity to meet the residents and a presentation including the Bishop of East Tennessee, the Rt. Rev. Charles G. vonRosenburg. The presentation began with Hosanna Board President Charles Terrell welcoming guests to the celebration. Hosanna resident Conner Roberts provided the invocation. Molly Miles, board member and co-founder of Hosanna Community told the history of Hosanna Community gleaned from her more than 10 years of leadership and service to the ministry. Ben Holt, Executive Director, spoke on the present state of Hosanna as it deals with future plans and growth. Hosanna resident Susan Evans read a scripture reading from her Braille Bible. Philip Newton, Music Director at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, brought a group to provide music and lead guests in singing “They’ll Know We Are Christians By Our Love”. The Rt. Rev. Charles G. vonRosenberg, a great supporter of Hosanna Community during his years as Bishop concluded the presentation with words of inspiration and congratulation. It was a wonderful celebration and Hosanna Community wishes to thank all the people who have contributed their time talent, money and prayers to make Hosanna what it is today. God continues to bless us.
