How many residents do you have?
We have two residential buildings located on 7 acres of land. Each building accomodates up to 8 residents and 2 cargivers.
Would I have my own private room?
Yes, each resident has their own private room with large wheel chair accessible closet, vanity with wash basin, telephone and cable TV access.
What about bathroom facilities?
Each resident shares a bathroom with one other resident. The bathroom is wheel chair accessible with shower and toilet.
Would I have my own telephone number?
Each room has a telephone but shares the line with other residents. You can purchase your own cell phone if you require it.
Is there Internet access?
Yes, each house is equipped with a wireless network. You may need to purchase a wireless adapter to access the network.
Could I bring my own furniture?
Yes, each resident is expected to furnish their own furniture, bed clothes, towels, etc. We can help with donated items if necessary.
How do I get to a Doctor's appointment?
Hosanna provides daily transportation to rehabilition sessions, volunteer assignments or work locations. We ask that family members or friends help with transportation to doctors, shopping or church. We strive to accomodate resident's needs as much as possible.
Can I do my own laundry?
Yes, residents are expected to take care of cleaning their own room, bed linens, towels and clothing, however, we have caregivers to help with this when necessary.
How are meals handled?
Residents are asked to prepare their own breakfast and lunch. Nutritious food is provided for these meals and Resident Assistants are available to help with preparation when needed. The evening meal is prepared by the Resident Assistants.
Can we come and go as we please?
Yes, residents are free to leave and return as they please. We do ask that the Resident Assistant are notified when you leave and when you plan to return. We are a community and we all try to be respectful of each other as we leave and return.
Are overnight guests allowed?
Yes, occassional guests are allowed. Prior approval of management is required.
What time is lights out?
We are a community and many residents work, attend school or are involved in rehabilition. We all respect the other residents for quiet time, rest and sleep. Generally, lights are out between 9 PM and 10 PM.
