Ben Holt came to Hosanna Community from the telecommunications industry. He
has a BE from Vanderbilt University and an MS in Engineering Management from
the University of Missouri. He has worked for several telecommunications firms,
and he and his wife owned one in Florida. In fact, they have owned several small
businesses. Ben has been very active in the Episcopal Church and is currently
a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church on Signal Mountain, where he first
became interested in Hosanna Community as a member of the outreach committee.
He has also been active in the Lions Club and is the incoming president of the
Signal Mountain Lions Club. Ben and his wife, Ann, have three sons. His youngest
son suffered a traumatic brain injury while in the Marine Corps in the early
‘90s. Ben says that the experience of working with his son through his recovery
has given him empathy for others in this situation and helps him understand
the need for a place like Hosanna Community – a place where people with disabilities
can live independently and work toward physical and spiritual renewal. Ben says
that he feels blessed not only for his son’s recovery, but also for this opportunity
to work with all the great people involved in the Hosanna Community endeavor.
Ben hopes that many more people will become aware of the opportunity for adults
with disabilities to live independently at the Hosanna Community.
