In conversations with physicians, state officials in Nashville, agencies such as Orange Grove Center in Chattanooga and many others, it is apparent that the need for a home for adults with disabilities is great. There are so many adults physically challenged by polio, accidents, muscular dystrophy, war, cerebral palsy and various other causes. When they lose primary caregivers, there is no place they can go except nursing homes, unless they have substantial private means. In a way, it is simply unbelievable that this large segment of our population has been so overlooked. Everyone who knows best has testified to the fact that there is a crying need for a proper home for physically challenged adults. It is Hosanna Community’s vision to help meet this need with a proven model of interdependent living and Hosanna Community’s mission to help foster independence for adults with disabilities.
